The University of East Anglia, Norwich, England has donated about 100 books to project through the efforts of Godwin Unazi. The books cut across fields of environmental sciences, chemistry, biology, management and computing sciences amongst other.
An anonymous alumnus has donated N25,000 (~£99.86) to the project.
We now have 619 books & journals and though we’ve reached our target of 1000 books & journals (when Dr Ijir & Prof Orban’s donations are taken into account) we will continue to welcome donations.
Professor Josev I. Orban and Dr Tim Ijir have donated about 30 boxes of books and journals (majority animal science) to the Donate a Book project. The nooks are scheduled to depart the US via sea-freight before the end of July and arrive Nigeria in August 2012.
An anonymous alumnus has donated N50,000 (£195.97) to the UAM Alumni “Donate a Book” project.
We are now 390 books & journals away from hitting our target of 1000 books & journals.
Once the VC confirms his availability, all the books from ITC at University of Twente and other donations will be formally presented to the University.
A London based medical doctor (graduate of UniLag) has volunteered and paid for the shipping of the remaining 43 books in the UK to Makurdi. The books will be delivered to Ben Jila within 3 weeks.
